Dr. Minaiy’s journey in the mental health field began in community agencies and continued in her role as faculty and associate chair of a couple and family therapy program in the Pacific Northwest. During her tenure in academia, she mentored and trained numerous aspiring therapists, fostering a deep commitment to the growth and development of future clinicians. This experience also instilled in her a passion for clinical supervision, which she continues to integrate into her current practice.
Central to Dr. Minaiy’s therapeutic approach is her dedication to ongoing professional development, particularly through Person of the Therapist (POTT) training. This framework emphasizes self-awareness, introspection, and the therapist's personal impact on the therapeutic process. Additionally, Dr. Minaiy is committed to practicing with a lens of social and cultural humility. She recognizes the importance of cultural awareness in therapy and continually strives to deepen her understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and identities.
